License and Usage

This page explains how you may use digital templates purchased from Party Template Shop by Tracia Creative. Your purchase grants a limited, non-exclusive license. It does not transfer ownership of the template or artwork.

Choose the permission that applies to your purchase

Personal use is the default. Event-planner use applies only when it is expressly included on the product listing or granted by Party Template Shop in writing. This page does not automatically grant client-use rights to every product or previous purchase.

Personal-use license

You may personalize the editable fields for your own personal event, print the copies needed for that event and share finished designs digitally with your guests. You may provide completed files to a printer for production.

You may not share, resell or redistribute the reusable template, Canva access link, editable source files, access PDF or individual artwork.

Event planner and client-use license

Where expressly included or approved in writing, one purchase covers one event for one client, used by one event-planning business.

For that event, you may:

Personalize the purchased template or included bundle pieces using the editable fields.
Print the stationery and decorations needed for the event.
Provide finished, flattened PDF, JPG or PNG files to your client.
Share completed invitations with guests and provide finished files to a printer.
Charge for planning, customization, printing and setup services, including stationery prepared as part of that event service.
Show photographs of the completed event in your portfolio, with any necessary client permissions. Do not claim authorship of the underlying template design.

Additional events and bundles

A new purchase is required for each additional client event unless we grant broader permission in writing. Purchasing a bundle licenses its included pieces for the same client event; it does not authorize multiple events or clients.

What is not permitted

Sharing the original Canva template link, reusable template, editable source files or access PDF with clients or other businesses.
Reselling designs as digital downloads, editable templates, stock assets or standalone stationery products.
Including purchased designs in a public template library, subscription service or print-on-demand catalog.
Extracting illustrations, backgrounds, fonts or other elements for separate use or competing templates.
Claiming ownership or exclusive rights to the underlying design or artwork.
Using a purchase for additional client events without the required new purchase or written permission.

Sharing finished files with clients and printers

Clients, guests and print providers may receive finished files only as needed for the licensed event. They receive no permission to resell the files, reuse them for another event or redistribute the reusable design. Event planners must communicate these restrictions in writing.

Suggested client handoff wording

These finished stationery files are supplied for your event only. You may print the required copies and share invitations with your guests. The underlying design remains subject to Party Template Shop's license. Do not resell the files, reuse them for another event or distribute editable templates or source artwork.

Artwork, editing and third-party content

Original design rights remain with Party Template Shop by Tracia Creative. Third-party artwork, fonts and other assets remain subject to their respective owners' rights and applicable license terms. This license covers only permissions we can grant and does not override Canva's terms or grant standalone rights to third-party elements.

Check each product listing for the included files, dimensions, account requirements and editable fields. Artwork and template dimensions may be fixed. Some products are ready-to-print files rather than editable Canva templates.

Digital products

Unless the listing expressly states otherwise, purchases are digital. Physical stationery, printing, shipping, frames, easels and event supplies are not included.

Questions or broader permission

If your intended use falls outside these permissions, contact us before purchasing. Client-use permission must be expressly included on the listing or provided in writing.
